The Supreme Court of the United States needs to face an indictment. For murder. The highest court in the land is continuing its attack on the Constitution by taking eminent domain and making it a right that has been swallowed up by a black hole or consigned to the Twilight Zone. Rod Serling, are you out there?
It would pass as a Keystone Comedy, but it appears that
the joke is on the American public. To continue with comparisons to
old movies and TV shows, picture a Justice leaning over a recumbent
body of FrankenConstitution, saying “It’s dead! It’s DEAD!”, while
an Igor-like liberal rubs its hands together with glee and cackles
with joy.
The worst thing? It’s liberals AND conservatives that are
doing it to use this time. We’re off the yellow brick road, lost on
the way to the Wizard, and we definitely need a bigger boat, because,
folks, this shark is about to eat us alive!
We’ll reference a petition
that you need to sign, at the bottom of this little rant, but you
need to do far more that that. You need to phone your Senator AND
your Representative, followed by an email, followed by a letter, and
you need to tell them get it straightened out or they lose your vote.
Send them the voter registration number from your card, so they’ll
know you’re not kidding.
So, guess what, Scarlett? Now, they’re gonna
take Tara away from you to build a strip mall, and Rhett isn’t gonna
help you out this time.
America, the terrorists outside this country
only want to kill you. The terrorists in our own government want to
torture you, rape you, and take your property away from you while
persuading you that they have the right to do it.
Republicans, nothing
the Democrats want to do is as bad as this. Democrats, nothing the
Republicans want to do is as bad as this. Do you go to church? How
long before your church, or synagogue, or mosque, or whatever, becomes
more valuable to your home town as Ernie’s World of Auto Parts? Stores
pay taxes, churches don’t.
Our soldiers are in Iraq and Afghanistan,
fighting for the right of Iraqis to live under a free government,
and back home, our Judges are taking those same rights away.
Got any
plans for the old homestead? You better hope they don’t want the world’s
largest dry cleaners located there. Gonna save that property for your
children? Don’t plan on it, the local government might not see it
that way.
Wake the Hell up, people!
Washington, Franklin, Jefferson,
Hamilton, et al are spinning in their graves so fast they
could generate power! YOUR Supreme Court is taking YOUR Constitutional
rights and flushing them down the toilet.
Our nation was born over 200 years ago when freedom loving men took up arms to give us liberty. They gave us a constitutional republic, “if we can keep it”, as Benjamin Franklin pointed out so aptly. For over 200 years we have managed to “keep it”, but we are in grave danger now of losing it with this ruling.
Five US Supreme Court justices – Anthony M. Kennedy, David H. Souter, Ruth Bader Ginsberg, John P. Stevens, and Stephen G. Breyer; have shown an absolute and total disregard for the US Constitution they were sworn to uphold. Five justices, whose power is exceeded only by their arrogance, have trampled upon the rights of all private property owners.
For years, we have watched
incrementalism take its toll on our liberties. Complacent Americans
have remained in a blissful state of ignorance while modern day sentries
have gallantly tried to warn us all of what was happening, only to
have their words fall on mostly deaf ears.
Well, now we have
a full-scale frontal assault. Do we finally wake up? Or are just gonna
pop open another can of Budweiser and like slugs, stay mired in front
of the television watching whatever the latest “reality” show it is
that the networks are showing. The reality is that our rights to private
property (and others) are in huge danger. We must wake the hell up
and get involved. Contact your representatives. And sign the petition
linked at this article’s conclusion.
The knock on the door might be
the government representative of eminent doom…….
Sign the Petition.
