Although God is omniscient, and knows the outcome of our lives, He
still pleads with us to do His will. “For this is good and acceptable
in the sight of God our Savior; who will have all men to be saved
and to come unto the knowledge of the truth” (I Timothy 2:3-4).
Through the preaching of His holy word, mankind’s heart is either
hardened or softened. We see that this same word has two reactions
- we can either grow in faith, and produce fruit, or we can reject
His word, become bitter, and die in a pitiful state of being lost.
WE must never forget that those who God chose to use, such as Moses, were just men and women like you and me. As God told the prophet of old “Certainly I will be with thee” (3:12a), we can have the same confidence when we read the words of Paul, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31).
